DIY BATH FIZZES

November 12, 2017

Bath Fizzies or Bombs are essential in making your bath time ritual more luxurious and extraordinarily relaxing. If you can't live without these little gems this habit can get expensive especially at some of the fancier bath and body shops. Our irresistible fizzies are easy and inexpensive to recreate for yourself at home and we don't mind sharing if you'd rather create your own scent concoctions :)

Ingredients

1/2 cup citric acid

1 cup baking soda

1/2 cup epsom or sea salt, natural food coloring or mica

1/2 tsp. water

2 tsp. essential or fragrance oil

2 tsp. hemp seed oil or coconut oil

Supplies

2 bowls

1 Whisk

1 Silicone ice tray or bath bomb mold

Directions

1. Whisk all dry ingredients until evenly mixed.

2. In separate bowl mix all liquid ingredients together, then add slowly to the dry mix little by little until it has the consistency of damp sand.

3. Pack into molds using the back of a spoon to push it in tight.

4. Let dry in mold at least 20 minutes before removing from molds and then let completely dry over night, or at least 8 hours before packaging or placing in jar for later use.

5. Enjoy!

Delightful bath fizzies with your own personal twist. Try different oils and fragrances to make unique blends. You may also experiment with different colors and assortments of dried herbs and flowers like calendula to soothe sunburn or lavender for a relaxing mild sedative effect before bedtime.
